Ms. Rachel Barlow
This is my 10th year teaching English and AVID at Beddingfield High School. I graduated from ECU in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Bachelor's Degree in English Education. I also recently graduated from ECU with a Master's Degree in Multicultural and Transnational Literature. I believe that teaching and learning go hand-in-hand, and I strive to learn something new every single day.
Ms. Megan Bissette
I have been a high school English teacher since 2020. I am a two time Appalachian State University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in High School English Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I'm currently working on a third Appalachian State University degree: a Doctor of Educational Leadership with a focus on Literacy Instruction.
Ms. Jordan Britt
I will be teaching the Academic English for EL Student classes at Beddingfield and also teach at Fike High School for part of the day. This is my ninth year teaching in Wilson County Schools. I have had the pleasure of specifically teaching high school EL students for going on 4 years. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Diversity Studies. I look forward to building relationships and making a positive impact on the students that I interact with every day.

Ms. Kim Howard
I have taught in Wilson County Schools for 26 years and coached for 24 of them as well. I teach English, and I am also the English MCL for our school. I look forward to meeting all of you and helping you work to your full academic potential.
Mrs. Alicia Mayo
In 2012, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a minor in Philosophy. Before starting my teaching career, I continued towards my Master's Degree. I started teaching in Wayne County at Goldsboro High School for two years before coming to Beddingfield High. This is my seventh year in the English Department. I live in Wilson with my husband, Rob, daughter, Sora, and too many animals (a pitbull, a cat, 2 parakeets, and at least 2-3 foster puppies at any time)!
