Ms. Bettena Adams Artis
Bettena Adams Artis, M.A. Licensed Professional School Counselor Master of Arts in Counseling from Seton Hall University Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Earlham College Bettena Adams Artis brings nearly 25 years of expertise to her role—centered around nurturing students’ emotional resilience, guiding academic and career planning, and fostering safe, inclusive school communities. With advanced training and a passion for both student well-being and athletics, she remains a trusted advocate for young people wherever she lands.
Ms. Lateisha Baines
I am a veteran of the United States Army. I am a wife and mother of a son who is in the United States Army. I started working with the Wilson County School system in 2018.
Ms. Jordan Britt
I will be teaching the Academic English for EL Student classes at Beddingfield and also teach at Fike High School for part of the day. This is my ninth year teaching in Wilson County Schools. I have had the pleasure of specifically teaching high school EL students for going on 4 years. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Diversity Studies. I look forward to building relationships and making a positive impact on the students that I interact with every day.

I have a degree in Visual Communications from Peace College and a Masters in Library Science from ECU. I taught Art for 6 years before moving to the media center. I love to read and being on the water. I live in Greene county with my husband and 3 cats.
Mrs. Colleen Raper
This is my 32nd year as a counselor and I am enjoying my part time position at BHS. I completed my undergraduate degree at UNCW and graduate degree at West Chester University in PA. I live in Wilson with my husband and two golden doodles. When not at BHS, you can find me baking or spending time being a Mimi to my grandsons.
